Does your laptop have SP2 installed? If so, you need to update to WM 5.1.

do you get an error on messenger? or does it just not log in. if it's on a wireless connection it could be that the signal strength just isn't good enough to maintain a constantly stable internet connection. if the internet signal is intermittant, then that could be why messenger doesn't log in.

I can not even get the windows update to work. If I try to log in I get the message saying that I can nogt sign because the password is incurrect, but I know it is rite because I typed it manualy the first time to be sure.
Now if I try to run windows update It wants me to install an active x control, but I can nlot get to the information bar to install it. any ideas?
